The world we perceive and live in is becomes “real” through light and lighting. Light and lighting determine the way we will see, perceive and mainly feel in a space.

Education is an important aspect to establish the profession and also to sensitize the general public about quality lighting and enjoyable environments. Being a lighting designer is one of the most beautiful professions in the world, but it is a young profession, often underestimated and that can make good use of the experience of those who practice it since long time.

Susanna Antico is an active member of professional lighting designers’ associations at national and international levels where she participates in the promotion of the profession and the support of students who have chosen Architectural Lighting Design as their future career.

The education activities of the studio include the organisation and the participation into different activities: lectures, lessons, workshops, publications, social media activity. Among all these activities workshops are probably the most attractive and fascinating form of learning and teaching lighting.  A workshop mixes theory and practice guiding participants to the realisation of temporary lighting installations that have the power to transform, in a short time, a specific space.
