On the 18th of June, for the first time, the IALD Awards were presented LIVE on Facebook and YouTube. The longest-running and anticipated lighting design awards were finally announced and the 37th edition of the IALD International Lighting Design Awards was LIVE on social media!

21 remarkable architectural #lightingdesign projects make up the winners of this year’s 37th #IALDAwards—congrats all!

The luminaries of the lighting profession gathered online for the first time from the comfort of their homes to honor the winners of the 37th annual IALD International Lighting Design Awards, presented by Cooper Lighting Solutions. Twenty-one projects from 8 countries were exhibited, including exteriors, interiors, universities, museums, shops and places of worship. Of these twenty-one projects, sixteen included IALD members on the lighting design team. Congratulations to all the winners on their achievements! “In December 2019 I had the honour and the pleasure to be part of the jury for the 37th edition of the IALD awards. My participation and the activities of the jury had to remain strictly confidential until the announcement of the winners. Not easy for me not to mention I was or had been in Chicago. Chicago by the way is a fascinating city were “architecture” is one of the words you hear the most. During the judging work it was so nice to be allowed to preview the colleague’s latest works while only just able to guess the author’s name (the judging is anonymous). Being in full immersion in high quality lighting and working with great colleagues form all over the world has been a wonderful and intense experience.”
